About Us

My name is Adrien Akers, and I am 32 years old. I am married to my best friend with two children (8 & 5years old). I have owned and operated Dragonglass for 4 years. I love gardening! I help coach at my daughter’s gymnastics academy. I have my CNA, and Phlebotomy certificates. I have accomplished an abundance of nursing, health, and anatomy courses. This truly helps with that Cattery. I have my bachelor degree of science majoring in criminal justice and sociology. I have had a passion for animals since I was a small child. This cattery is truly my passion and blessing to me. 

My daughter and I wanted a kitten so badly. Unfortunately, my husband and daughter are highly allergic. I was determined to find a kitten for our family… and then I did my research and discovered that Siamese and Balinese produce lower Fel d 1. (The protein responsible for allergies found in cat saliva, urine, and dander.)I fell in love with the breed and desired to give those who suffered allergies like our household a chance to have a cat companion.
