About Us

My name is Adrien Akers, and I am 31 years old. I am married with two children (6 & 3 years old). I have owned and operated Dragonglass for 3 years. I love gardening! I currently stay home so I can focus on my cattery and care for my youngest child. I have my CNA, and Phlebotomy certificates. I have accomplished an abundance of nursing, health, and anatomy courses. I have my bachelor degree of science majoring in criminal justice and sociology. I have had a passion for animals since I was a small child. This cattery is truly my passion and blessing to me. 

My daughter and I wanted a kitten so badly. Unfortunately, my husband and daughter are highly allergic. I was determined to find a kitten for our family… and then I did my research and discovered that Siamese and Balinese produce lower Fel d 1. (The protein responsible for allergies found in cat saliva, urine, and dander.)I fell in love with the breed and desired to give those who suffered allergies like our household a chance to have a cat campanion.
